My other blog, formerly known as Aspiring Author, is now The Traveling Writer.
Why should you care?
Because you came here to Inkslinging in Africa for travel stories. Now you can read about travel at The Traveling Writer, which also includes my thoughts on writing. Travel AND writing rolled into one blog! What more could you ask for?
And yes, I’m still working on my travel memoir, the one based on this blog. At some point, when y’all ask what it was like to backpack solo through Africa as a woman, I’ll be able to hand you my book!

Hi Alexis! I would like to know what part of Africa you have been to. I was in Zambia with my family. Unfortunately things did not turn out what was promised and expected. I had very rough- miserably rough– time..Q… of life and death. I would like to read your book and compare our experiences. Perhaps you were not in the bush…way-y away-y from the world! I had learnt the local language which helped me to take the history from the patient/patient’s relative and save the life.
Thank you

Hey Mita — Nice to hear from you, but sorry your experience didn’t go as well as you had hoped. You can find details of the countries I visited here: https://allonsy.wordpress.com/my-journey/
Thanks!

Wonderful initiative, Alexis! Travelling expands the human mind, heart, and soul. Your enriching stories will surely contribute to that expansion.
