Shame guys,what a nasty experience. I praise you for not giving in to their bribe. You make me proud to be a South African. God will deal with them in due time. I was held up in LHR FOR A DAY and then deported back to Durban. An ice cold deportee room where we were grilled with questions with obout 30 people from around the world. They said i was not coming on holiday but to live there and they dont believe me. What an ugly ordeal. Good luck on your further business traveling.

Absolutely Absurd!! I was supposed to join Abdul on this trip and somehow fate intervened and I couldn’t make it. I’m glad I didn’t, but can’t help feeling sincere sympathy for Abdul & Mahesh. But that won’t deter us…I’m sure it just made them much stronger!!!

Mahesh and Abdul are special friends of mine and only after their ordeal did they let on that they had been through such a trying experience. all of this just to prevent stress at home for their families and even myself. I am their partner in the business they went to the CAR for and they only told me once they were on their way safely to the CAR. On the way back in the car from the airport in South Africa they mentioned their new friend at the Douala airport, thanks for being there with them, they seem to have found comfort in your humour! You seem to be a tough cookie yourself travelling alone through Africa! Good luck!
